Kindergarten
In February, the Kindergarten classrooms celebrated the 100th day of Kindergarten! The students spent the entire day doing activities centered around the number 100. We counted 100 stickers, painted 100 dots, stamped 100 “gumballs”, wrote all of the numbers to 100, wrote about what we would do with 100 dollars, and came up with 100 reasons why we love our school! We also made 100th day of school hats, built towers with 100 cups, and put together 100 piece puzzles. The kids had so much fun learning about the number 100.
Ask your child to count to 100 by 1s, 5s and 10s. Can they count out 100 small objects like pennies, Cheerios or chocolate chips? Can they group the objects by 5s and 10s and then count them? Challenge your child to go outside and write the numbers 1-100 in chalk on the driveway.
