September 3rd is the start of the upcoming school year and Primary Election Day in Massachusetts.
Many of you may or may not know, but Coelho Middle School is a polling site for all elections for the City of Attleboro. As in years past, we have a plan to ensure everybody can get in and out of the school safely during the elections. The drop-off and pick-up routines will remain the same for students (You will enter the school grounds at the first entrance if you are coming down Brown Street from Washington Street and once you have entered you will drop alongside the curb near the cafeteria)
If you are coming to the school to vote, you can park in the back of the building and enter the school through DOOR F, where a polling worker and Attleboro police officer will be located and guide you to the gym where voting takes place.
During school hours, voters will not have any access to any other parts of the school, and the doors will remain closed and have a polling worker and Attleboro police officer located at them.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. There will be more information sent home via email on Thursday, August 22nd about the 1st day of school and what to expect.
